Norman Aggon

 

Mr. Aggon has 26 years of experience in executive and operations management, in the aggregate, lime and natural resource industries. This managerial expertise, together with his transactional and post acquisition integration experience, enables Mr. Aggon to provide the owners of small and mid-size companies with the wide range of knowledge necessary to optimize profit potential and complete transactions.

 

Mr. Aggon has a B. S. degree in Mining Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.).

 

Mr. Aggon's diverse senior management experience includes Senior Vice President of Operations for the Bellefonte Lime Company, a regional mining and lime-processing firm, Division General Manager for Tarmac, LLC., an international aggregate producer, and Operations' Manager for Chemstone Corporation, a southern lime facility. He had complete P&L responsibility including sales, marketing, mining, manufacturing, and engineering. Mr. Aggon is currently the Assistant Department Chair for Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration's highly ranked Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems.

Additionally he currently provides operational and strategic assistance as an advisor to the Board of Directors of a natural resource company.

 

Mr. Aggon's M&A experience includes the acquisition and divestiture of mining properties and manufacturing plants, including buyer-seller negotiations, company assessments and valuations, due diligence, and negotiations with lending institutions.

 

Selected projects and accomplishments include:

  • Key member of an acquisition team that evaluated, valued, and negotiated the purchase of a lime facility that doubled the capacity of existing operations. Directed post acquisition integration efforts to merge companies and increase profitability and expand product lines.
  • As seller's representative, played a lead role in the divestiture of a privately held lime company that optimized shareholders' value.

Mr. Aggon's broad operational background and his M&A experience enable him to lead management consulting projects and to successfully develop and execute M&A assignments on behalf of owners of small and middle market companies.

 

Mr. Aggon received his B.S. degree in Mining Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and his M.B.A. from James Madison University.
